By identifying posting trends/themes and utilizing proper tags, as well as engagement on social media sites like Facebook and relevant internet forums, I was able to achieve inclusion, on 69 occasions, into Flickr’s exclusive EXPLORE collection,  which features the 500 most “interesting” uploads of the day, gleaned from the millions and millions of images uploaded to their site daily. My Flickr account was initially created as part of a project for a workshop addressing Social Media and Business.

Started as a blog to cross-promote my Flickr page as part of a Social Media/Business workshop project, the majority of my site views are generated from the United States, with a strong following in Brazil, Russia, Canada and France. My top site referrers are Facebook, Disqus.com, Flurid.com, Pinterest.com, Vimeo.com, and Timesleader.com. I utilize the same tags for this site that I use for Flickr.

An eBook created exclusively for Amazon Kindle as a vehicle to promote “Guerrilla History“, I was able to achieve the designation as the #1 digital download in two categories on Amazon.com eBooks, in both Pop Culture and Historic Preservation, from July 29th through August 4th, 2013, using my Demolition Marketing Plan.  To coincide with the one year anniversary of the demolition of the Hotel Sterling, I coordinated a second promotion of the Zombie Sterling Kindle eBook by creating a timely article for CheriSundra.comand promoting it on local news sites and their Social Media pages, as well as on Facebook pages dedicated to photography, history and historic preservation, while taking advantage of the opportunity to participate in special promotions offered by Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, allowing authors to temporarily modify their terms regarding consumer purchase price.   On July 26th, 2014, I ranked #11 in Arts & Photography and #1 in Pop Culture.  On July 27th, 2014, I was at #1 in Historic Preservation, #1 in Pop Culture and #27 in Photography.  As of May 2016, I’m still at #116 in the Historical Preservation category, which is just ironic, since the building has been demolished.  I believe that it maintains any rank at all because it is still being cross-promoted via past uploads/postings on Flickr and my website.
